Prediction: Romney Crushes Obama In Presidential Election Blowout

November 7, 2012 – It may not be morning in America, but be thankful that it’s not the dawn of the living dead. With civil war breaking out in Greece, Spain in chaos as it seeks to exit the euro, California preparing to file bankruptcy following the failure of Governor Jerry Brown’s budget referendum, and Portland, Oakland, and Seattle busy clearing the rubble from the devastation of their Occupy fires, the American electorate has finally said “Enough!”

The great experiment in “progressive” democracy is over. Convincing a majority of American voters that they can live at someone else’s expense proved a bridge too far, as those same voters watched the social democracies of Europe unravel. When presented with a choice between two presidential candidates with diametrically opposed visions of the proper role of government, Americans chose to step back from the abyss.

To no one’s surprise, the campaign was ugly. As each successive poll revealed incumbent President Barack Obama slipping further behind, the Obama camp’s attacks grew ever shriller. Class, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality—not variant of identity politics was left untapped in what turned out to be a futile attempt to divide the electorate into warring camps and shift the debate to anything besides the deteriorating economy and the cataclysmic national debt.

The Supreme Court’s evisceration of Obamacare—the president’s signature “accomplishment”—set the tone for a long, hot summer. The Occupy movement’s escalating campaign of violence, which culminated in major street battles at both national conventions, did little to help Obama’s cause. Rush has been saying for a long time that there are more conservatives than liberals.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe because of the media but I think he’s right.

Even if people still think they are liberal or moderate, most of them don’t believe in abortion or gun control or unions taking over our schools or gay marriage or any of the other popular liberal issues.

Most people still believe in capitalism.

I don't recall that George Wahington cheated on his wife, was divorced twice, or that he bouned checks. Remember it was also said of George Washington that he would not tell a lie. Is your prediction also that Gingrich talks out of two sides of his mouth?

That said the strategy you have is a bit dated (5/4/2012).

This is from the CSMonitor site about Putin's Russia, but the same 'managed democracy' has been studied and instituted by a long list of American politicians in part with the Bohemian Grove club-- republican and democrat, Reagan and Kissinger, going in to the G8.

The similarities to today's political environment are remarkable.

Russia-watchers will be scrutinizing these polls closely because they represent the pinnacle of "managed democracy," the somewhat paradoxical electoral system constructed over the past decade by Vladimir Putin(and our political 'elite'), which creates the detailed impression of functioning multi-party political competition while ensuring that outcomes fall within a range dictated by the Kremlin.(which is why both parties have been leading us down the same path, albeit the republicans only minorly slower than the democrats)

But opposition leaders, even those whose parties are represented on the ballot, offer a completely different picture. They describe a carefully stage-managed system in which candidate lists are winnowed by Kremlin apparatchiks (or,republican and democrat party 'elites') in which opposition politicians must scramble for tiny crumbs of media coverage(we surely see this), and local officials use a variety of heavy-handed tactics to contain their campaigns within tightly enclosed limits. Some warn that authorities may resort to large-scale vote-rigging on election day(and we see this), as has been credibly reported in the past, if voters turn against the ruling party in decisive numbers.

Now, with a grain of salt, see what the Carnegie Endowment has to say: Managed democracy controls society while providing the appearance of democracy. Its main characteristics are as follows:
1. A strong presidency and weak institutions (the destruction of the department of defense and military by Obama for example
2. State control of the media( the absolute abdication of the media in vetting candidates and the multitude of Obama crimes against the Republic, including the creation of a multitude of Czars and the Executive Orders that force conforming with international socialist organization goals such as the UN.
3. Control over elections allows elites to legitimize their decisions 4. Visible short-term effectiveness and long-term inefficiency
The result is an “unstable stability” based on the president’s personality. He is actually a hostage of the system (grain of salt.

The corporatist angle is correct, I think what has happened here is that we have a 'business-managed democracy'. With all the techniques learned from the Soviets. When you really boil it down, a corporation is just a collective after all.

Romney could have been beat - either with a stronger candidate or more unity in opposition.

I say Corporatism because that is the form of government closest to Obama’s view and efforts.

First, I am willing to bet Obama's minions have threatened SCOTUS members with death if they overturn Obamacare.

That’s the one thing that worries me about the upcoming election.....

Have we as a country crossed the rubicon where more people think not voting for Obama means the “living off someone else “ will end and vote for him to continue the free ride???
