WASHINGTON (CBSDC) With the use of domestic drones increasing, concern has not just come up over privacy issues, but also over the potential use of lethal force by the unmanned aircraft.
Drones have been used overseas to target and kill high-level terror leaders and are also being used along the U.S.-Mexico border in the battle against illegal immigration. But now, these drones are starting to be used domestically at an increasing rate.
The Federal Aviation Administration has allowed several police departments to use drones across the U.S. They are controlled from a remote location and use infrared sensors and high-resolution cameras.
Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel of the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office in Texas told The Daily that his department is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.
Those are things that law enforcement utilizes day in and day out and in certain situations it might be advantageous to have this type of system on the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle), McDaniel told The Daily.

Alrighty, you go right to the head of the class!
You just got Triple Extra Credit for having a .50 Cal ;-)
I am prepared for most contingiencies...
Up to this point I thought a “Domestic Drone” was just another name for an Obama Voter. Mark Levin talks about them all the time.
While tear gas can be delivered from almost any range, rubber bullets are a 200 yard max ballistic item. So, BS!
These things can be armed with almost anything, especially the larger, military grade models, and once the door is opened to 'delivering payloads', it is almost guaranteed the 'effectiveness' of the payloads will escalate.
Why bother with mere rubber bullets when you can have 'steel rain'? Then go in and mop up.
Why punch tear gas rounds out of the Bradleys (like Waco) when you can just drop incendiaries and get the job done? (--and blame the residents--after all, the Ministry of information dissemination told you they were a cult, citizen!)
I have maintained for years that by the time the Federal Government seals the borders, it will be to keep us in, not 'them' out.
About 100 ft., and hold just a little to the north, mebbe 6 inches or so...
Ten feet should do it, .12 seconds of travel for the round at 2500 ft./second to go 300 ft., .12 seconds of travel for the target at 88 ft./sec, puts the target 10.56 ft. further downrange, not allowing that the shot is along the hypotenuse of the triangle.
You also get a 1st place Trophy for your excellent math skills.
The other Winner has a .50 Cal so I couldn't ignore that ;-)
BUT, no more winners. Contest over.
This isn't a gubmint run school contest where everyone gets a trophy just for 'being' :-)
Just remember, lead flies both ways...
Yep. What goes up must come down, too... but the R/C crowd has me thinking of other ideas which do not involve lead...
