Mitt Romney’s campaign has released a new ad promoting “Day One” of a potential Romney presidency, describing which of President Barack Obama’s policies the Republican will reverse first if he wins the White House.
The ad promises that in his first day in the Oval Office, Romney will announce deficit reductions, ending what the campaign calls “the Obama era of big government.”

it is not too late to nominate a conservative. You would think after 3 years of a liberal, we wouldn’t want to possibly replace a liberal with a liberal.
While Romney isn’t the conservative we conservatives would like to have,he is a very good businessman.What did”Silent Cal”once say:”The Business of America is Business”.We Have to stop dreaming of another Reagan(or Goldwater)and(as the brits would say),GET ON WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Something we can do is change the Republican National Committee. Over the weekend, the two morons who voted to change the rules in favor of Romney the day after the Michigan primary were themselves voted out of their committee seats.
It only takes a few hundred dedicated people in each state to do and has a great deal of effect on the GOP nationwide.

I like the "severely conservative" Candidate Romney. I wonder whether President Romney will be a recognizable version of Candidate Romney or just the same old Massachusetts liberal, Governor Romney.
How do you suppose we do that, at this late stage... Realistically, how can this be achieved
A lot of freepers will have sour grapes and sneers for Romney.....FOREVER. Really, as long as he gets elected, that’s not a bad thing. There will be no pretense of once thinking he would make the air clean and the oceans heal and hopey changey will save the planet all because of him. We will keep his feet to the fire from day one. I’m OK with that. Just vote for the man in November. That does matter.
Hopefully Romney will keep the seat warm for Scott Walker in 2016.
Should he win, I hope that he pleasantly surprises me -- I would love to be proven wrong in this case. But I won't be holding my breath.

As for Romney... he knows he'll be hated forever for defeating the KM (hoping he does), by the left and many indies. He would be an absolute fool to not govern from the right, and have us support him... He wasn't anyone's first choice here... But like I keep saying, he's the only person on the planet standing in the way of a 2nd term for the KM
I like Gingrich’s first day plan better. Romney needs to be more specific on which regulations he will remove or rescind.
Dodd-Frank? Sarbanes-Oxley, Romney can’t be a fan of that one. How will he deal with the out of control EPA?

I agree. This bowing to the GOPe’s (and the Salt Lake Mafia’s) pick is just wrong.
I won’t vote for him. I will vote for conservative Republicans for House and Senate, but will leave that portion of the ballot blank concerning POTUS rather than vote for Romney. I’m no longer a pawn of the GOPe.
The truth is that Mr. Romney will be no better at deficit reduction than Mr. Obama. I do share the fear folks have of four more years of Obama (unless we can get a stronger conservative House and Senate), but I cannot bring myself to vote for Romney. I consider it surrender to the GOPe that is destroying the Republican brand that Ronald Reagan produced.
