I disagree; a tax credit for a family’s minor children is good policy.

What I don’t get is these fraudulent tax returns. A SS# must be attached with each deduction but no government verification it’s valid to that family.

These liars are walking away with billions of our money and the ‘government’ aint doing squat.

I’d like to hear your logic behind taking a nickel out of my pocket to gave it to a parent ?

Since the vast majority of the people who use this tax credit wind up not paying ANY federal income tax at all...

You can’t include SS and medical deductions are not used for the general fund

In my book EVERYBODY needs to pay some tax if they earn an income...even 1 percent would be fair...

“a tax credit for a family’s minor children is good policy.”

Tax credits for people with children means higher taxes for people without children. Why do you think this is good policy ?

Think about all the roaming bands of teenage thugs robbing stores and beating people on the streets in flash mobs. Clearly there are people out there who should never have been encouraged to have kids. Child tax credits, welfare, food stamps, EITC, etc. all mean increased income for each child. This is money in the bank for people who don’t pay ANY taxes and then burden society with children who were never wanted for anything but the extra income.

People who are responsible enough to have children for their own sakes and are taxpayers do not benefit from the child tax credit — they’d be better off with a lower tax rate and no child tax credit. The child tax credit doesn’t benefit them, it is only another mechanism to redistribute wealth to the poor that wouldn’t have children if they weren’t the key to the government benefits gravy train.
