It was last fall when EW originally broke the news that pop superstar Gloria Estefan would be appearing on "Glee" as Santana's mother, Maribel Lopez.
Now, Estefan is finally making her first appearance in the season finale! Sadly, Gleeks, the singer won't be carrying a tune in the episode, fittingly titled "Goodbye," which finds McKinley's seniors graduating...

A fine line, to be sure. The daughter was thrown out of her grandmother's house after admitting she was homosexual. Grandmother was hateful toward the girl and so Estefan wants to come back in the next season and attack grandma for being mean.
Estefan has been leaning left for a long time, as she hosted a fundraiser in 2010 for Obama...one suspects Gloria is more than just interested in "standing up" for the oppressed.
A shame, since she once was friendly to Republican and conservative ideas.
Estafan’s son must be gay that is why she is all for embracing homosexuality. As for leaning left, what do you expect? She is in show business and doesn’t care if she alienates half her audience.
