“The issue is not Reverend Wright,” said the ever compliant GOP House Speaker John Boehner, “The issue is the economy. This kind of nonsense shouldn’t happen. The election’s going to be about the economy and getting Americans back to work.”

More pearls of wisdom from our hero, Lieutenant Noballs.

I must agree with those who feel Rev Wright is not the issue even though I disagree on just about all they say on other things.

Why?

1) Obama was already vetted about Rev. Wright in 2008 ( Did and still think it was fair game). The American voter could have cared less and voted for Obama anyways.

2) Rev. Wright did not happen since Obama took office. It's an issue used to vet those who have not yet held the position of President.

3) To vet Rev Wright again at this point sends a message to the voter that the economy really is not in such a grave state so it should not be the focus in 2012.

4) A sitting President needs to be vetted for his first term accomplishments. We must not ignore them.

5) Been there done that. Got us nowhere the first time. The definition of insanity?
