Eight people were shot Monday night just blocks from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City as large crowds were leaving the playoff game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder, police said.
Authorities were trying to determine what led to the shootings that occurred at about 11:35 p.m., said Capt. Dexter Nelson of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Of the victims, one was in critical condition and seven suffered less severe injuries, Nelson said.
Also, a woman was injured when she was punched and kicked in the crowded streets, authorities said.
Actually, it’s very old American—Aztec human sacrifices to the basketball gods.
THUNDER UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
The Amish are at it again!!!
” Funny, I don’t think cops feel outnumbered by 8,000 people at a tennis match or a Tea Party rally. “
Yeah.....funny how that is..
Amish cowboys, pissed off because the HOF was closed when the game ended
The 2 arrested last nite were picked up on traffic warrants and not for the shooting. There was an arrest made this afternoon - 19 yr old gang banger with 3 felony arrests/pending court cases since Jan 2012. A one man crime wave.
Word is the shooting was gang related - 8Balls and Prince Hill Gangs. Apparently there was a disagreement that escalated and someone pulled a gun. Most, if not all of the victims were involved the fight.
There was graduation ceremony for one of the local high schools full of Holders people so the crowd was a lot tougher than usual. Our idiot mayor wants OKC to be a “Big League City”. We became one last night. Same $#!+ that goes in Oakland, and Chicago........red
Yeah..
And I paraphrase..... "Amish, PLEASE!"
Looks like they had lots of students there in OK.
