I don’t take contributions from payday lenders. I refuse to do that.

Really now... perhaps you can explain the $13,250 you took from Fannie Mae in 2006... along with a lot of other rather questionable donors as well, including the far-left "Podesta Group" in 2012. Lawyers are also big fans of yours throughout your career... to the tune of $757,390.

Unless of course it's been sanitized first by going thru a lobbyists bank account.

. For example, in the current cycle Clyburn accepted $1,500 from Joyce Rogers, a registered lobbyist for payday lender Cash America International.
