I sincerely hope you are right, but my experience says the real hard-core useless leftist jerks stay on or near campus all summer long. I got the impression their parents didn't want them back any more than we wanted them here.

Additionally, today was the first day to request absentee ballots, and there's been a run on the city clerks' offices. Some of us suspect there are a LOT of students planning to vote from wherever they live.

I hear both of you. I think the demoRAT & union activity has picked up from where it was, because of all the indications that they were going to get a good ol' can of whoop ass opened up on them. Now it looks like they are doubling down on their efforts (including non-resident students, same day registrations, multiple voting, etc. We need to pray & work & contribute that much harder. The good news is that the WI GOP & Scott Walker & the 4 senators in the recall, are fighting hard and not conceding anything this. We gotta keep up the good fight. I am optimistic for the results, but I don't want to get complacent either.
