Sorry to get back to you so late, but you are right. I shouldn't have used the word, "all rifles". Looks like the bullet button is the answer for the attached mag, until the cry-babies in Sacremento outlaw those.

I could have sworn that back in the 90's, any rifle that even had a "raised handle/site" became illegal. The libs were scared of anything that look like their misnomer, "assault weapon". Could be wrong about that.

Thanks for the response. I've since done my homework.

Don't feel too bad. I stored a rifle out-of-state for almost ten years before I realized that it never made the "assault weapons" list. The law is having its intended effect if you hesitated to buy a legal rifle because of the law.
