Cruz got both votes in this house about 5 minutes after early voting opened on the 14th.
I voted as early as possible out of paranoia -— our voter’s registration cards still had not shown up a month after friends/relatives had already received theirs. I contacted the registrar, and they sent out another copy to us immediately. I was so concerned re what happened to the originals, who might have them, and someone possibly trying to vote with them, that I decided to vote as soon as possible.
Good thing is that I handed them both my registration and photo ID, and asked them which one they would rather take. They had a little skimmer type device attached to their laptops, and they swiped my driver’s license to “check me in.” So they are more than ready to start using photo ID’s for voting.
I remember during the ACORN scandal a guy was interviewed and asked if he signed up to vote with their “service”
He said yes, 90 times.
A woman said she took her elderly mother to sign up through ACORN so she could vote for the first time in her life.
When she went to the polls to vote, she was told she already voted.
