Conservatives are lining up for Ted Cruz in Texas - this is the next important Tea Party election we have to win !
Tea Party Express endorsed Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz has gotten national attention recently due to his surge in the polls, the Tea Party Express rallies throughout Texas supporting his candidacy, and the endorsement of Sarah Palin. We wanted to send along a quick early voting reminder and a very cool audio message that we received from the Ted Cruz campaign that was recorded by Governor Sarah Palin to Texas voters. Hear what Sarah Palin said about Ted Cruz and the Tea Party Express Early voting has already begun in this important election and Ted Cruz needs our support now more than ever. Many are calling him "the next Marco Rubio" and a "rising star in the Tea Party movement". This is a race that we have to win! The election is only 9 DAYS away! We must build on the momentum that Sarah Palin has provided us with. The polls are tightening and Ted Cruz is closing in on his opponent David Dewhurst.
.
Just like in Indiana, the Tea Party candidate is surging at just the right time, but we need your immediate support to push him ahead!
Governor Sarah Palin wrote: Were proud to join conservatives in Texas and throughout the nation in supporting your (Ted Cruz) campaign to become the next Senator from the Lone Star State.
.
If you haven't heard about Ted Cruz, here is a little about why we have endorsed him and are fighting to send him to Washington:
.
Ted Cruz is a self-professed child of the Reagan revolution. His parents fled Cuba after experiencing an oppressive government and instilled in Ted a profound respect and appreciation for freedom. He understands that it is not our government that makes America run, but our entrepreneurial spirit. He made money as a kid by reciting the Constitution from memory to Rotary Clubs in Texas and giving speeches on free-market economics. . As Solicitor General of Texas from 2003-2008, Cruz authored 80 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued 40 oral arguments, including 9 before the Supreme Court. Named a Republican star rising in Texas and a great Reaganite hope by the National Review, Ted Cruz has led the fight against Obamas offshore drilling moratorium and for private property rights for Americans. His Growth and Jobs Agenda promotes a limited government plan that pledges to repeal ObamaCare and Dodd-Frank, kill Cap and Trade, and dramatically simplify the tax code.
Ted Cruz at the Tea Party Express Endorsement Press Conference in Dallas, Texas
We were honored to travel around the great state of Texas with him last month to endorse his campaign and hope that you will be as excited as we are about his candidacy. We just held numerous rallies for Ted Cruz all across Texas this last week to rally support as part of our "Restoring the American Dream" bus tour.
We have a great candidate that we all need to support to send him to Washington!
One of Tea Party Express top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and thanks to patriots like Ted Cruz, we are well on our way to doing just that. But we need your support if we are going to be successful and finish the work we all started in 2010. |

LOL, like the TV ads where Huckaby is telling everyone to vote for Dewhurst?

“Who else would they supportDewhurst?”
Of couse. Any Texas conservative who actually keeps up with Texas state politics knows Dewhurst is the conservative in the race. And far more qualified than Cruz.

Probably the same reason Daniels endorsed Lugar.

There’s two of us on FR! There’s probably a lot more, but it gets old bumping these emotional anti-Dewhurst threads. Thanks for speaking up.
Having said that, I believe that the women’s groups already have a ton of clout. We do a lot of work in this State.
Cruz’ claim that any Member group or Official of the Texas Federation of Republican Women is highly suspect.
Forget that he claims these endorsements happened back when many, like me, were hoping that Gov. perry would become President and we wanted Dewhurst for Governor.
>>>>>>>The fact is that no TFRW club is allowed to endorse in a contested Republican Primary according to our bylaws. The President and Vice President for Campaign affairs are not allowed to endorse in a contested Republican race and none of the members or officers may use their credentials to endorse in the Primary.
I was forced to resign as VP to help Donna Campbell defeat Jeff Wentworth, the quintessential RINO.
See Donna’s latest ad, here.

Because Dewhurst is Perry’s stooge. He always has been. Dewhurst is the ultimate empty suit. Texas is going to be very disappointed if we elect Dewhurst.
To: ngat
Too much Dewhurst for way too long.

I noticed 99% of your entire Forum comments are Dewhurst related. That tells me you work for Dewhurst campaign.

If in-state tuition for illegal aliens supporter Mike Huckabee is supporting a Republican in a Primary, it's usually best to vote for the other one!

Because Dewhurst is Perrys stooge.Another pro-ILLEGAL alien stooge. That's no doubt why Perry and Huckabee support him.

Since last we exchanged views on Dewhurst, I have been told that Dewhurst supported or supports a tax on Texans’ wages and salaries. IS THAT TRUE? Please explain.

Dewhurst’s scurrilous attacks on Cruz here in Texas are completely nauseating. I get them in e-mails and as embedded ads on the net. They are disguised to look like news stories and represent the very worst of American politics.
The attack ads do manage to prove one thing: that Dewhurst is morally unfit for ANY public office.

What about the allegations of Cruz representing China that I see on TV here? How does Mr. Cruz explain that away? I am new to Texas politics and wanted some clarification.

Sorry I have not had time to reply to your last well-written post. I enjoyed reading it very much but have been out of town tending to some business. As regards the false charge against Dewhurst about the wage tax, anything that has ever been proposed for discussion in the Texas Senate to try to meet budget could be constured to be the fault of the Lt. Gov. of Texas, the way the state govt. in Texas is structured. The charge is a red herring.
Of couse there are already “wage taxes” in Texas, but there is no state income tax. Here are the facts:
Texas is one of the few states that does not charge employees a state income tax (though Texas employees must still pay federal income taxes, Social Security taxes, and Medicare tax withholdings). Texas employers are also subject to state unemployment (SUTA) tax, federal unemployment (FUTA) tax, and their share of Medicare and Social Security taxes. The employer calculates federal payroll taxes according to the Internal Revenue Service’s guidelines, and state payroll taxes according to the Texas Workforce Commission’s instructions.

Excellent! I admire Rick Perry, but disagree with him here. Cruz is way more preferable to Dewhurst.

We voted for Dewhurst, because we read his back ground and liked what we read..Not because we were intimidated into voting for him..I feel more comfortable sending someone all of his qualifications to Washington....as a matter a fact my friends seem to all be saying their guy is Dewhurst..He is a Conservative..

Good move on your part, RWB
I remember during the ACORN scandal a guy was interviewed and asked if he signed up to vote with their “service”
He said yes, 90 times.
A woman said she took her elderly mother to sign up through ACORN so she could vote for the first time in her life.
When she went to the polls to vote, she was told she already voted.
The GOP’s two biggest problems:
- Not fighting voter fraud (I think they actually believe they can get the illegal alien vote, yea rite!)
- Not supporting Conservatives

Do Worsters:
- Dewhurst himself proposed a statewide “wage tax” that the Wall Street Journal said was nothing more than “a fancy disguise for a personal income tax.”
- Dewhurst himself raised state tax revenue by 49%.
- Dewhurst himself raised state spending by 62% — and he calls a $72 billion increase a “spending cut.”
- Dewhurst himself held a campaign event for DC lobbyists at a house owned by top Obama crony Tony Podesta.
- Dewhurst himself appointed 32 Democrats to committee chairs and worked with them to kill conservative legislation.
- Dewhurst allied himself with moderate Democrats and moderate Republicans to kill the agenda of the seven most conservative Republicans in the Senate.
Don’t believe the lies; focus on each candidate’s actual record: Dewhurst’s moderate tax-and-spend record (from which he’s trying desperately to distract you) and Ted Cruz’s proven conservative record.
It's bad enough that Huckabee and Perry support Dewhurst, but so does Obama!
