Not quite. It might have always stayed in Editorial. I just added Freeper Editorial.
NLOS does look good and could easily be restarted.
No, EV, Mitt Romney is not “my” candidate. He is what we are left with to go against Obama with any chances of defeating the Kenyan Marxist. Sarah, Cain, Santorum, and Newt were all “my” candidates in that order.
But, he is what we are left with, so I will vote for him against Obama...and he has indicated rather strongly that he intends to build the US military back up so that it is unassaiable by any existing or projected power. If elected then, there is the chance that he will do at least some of these types of things.
With Obama, there is none.
Ok...got ya, I was not aware of the difference. Thanks!
God’s speed to you my FRiend.
I may be a little biased when it comes to the NLOS system because I was part of the test team for 3 years. But the Paladin needs to be replaced soon.
Zero minus zero equals zero.
Mitt Romney is not my candidate
Well, Jeff, if you are supporting him he is your candidate. That's just reality.
If elected then, there is the chance that he will do at least some of these types of things.
To believe that you have to ignore the entire history of the Neville Chamberlainesque elite faction that Mitt Romney represents.
As you the rest of your wish list, can you point me some examples of liberal Republicans working to get spending, and entitlements, and the size and scope of government under any kind of control?
EV, we have posted back and forth for several years. You know my positions.
Romney’s stances on the issues, which he is runnong on now, are far, far better than Obama’s so it is not a zero sum game at all.
If we can elect a Tea Party oriented majority in the House and Seante (or clearly be heading in that direction), which is what we have to do in any case, then we will be able to have the environment where they serve up the Acts and legislation that will cause Romney to keep his campaign stances and commitments. That’s how we have to do it.
We may not get nearly all we want...but if we do that, the economy and many things will turn around.
With Obama there is no chance of that.
Have a great day EV...even though we see differently on how to react to the GOP putting Romney up there, which is surely not what I wanted, we can work together on the House and Seant which is something we have to do in any case.
God’s speed.
Certainly laudable goals Jeff, but in an era where the debt service alone equals the total FedGov revenue, and our credit has assumed ‘imaginary’ status, how will we achieve it?
.
The more I reflect on your post, the more appalled I am.
By your own apt partial description of what it will take to have the basis to defend the country, under Romney or Obama no such defense is possible. Because it is a certainty that neither one will do the things you describe. No chance. None at all.
The idea of Romney eliminating departments, or reining in entitlements, or even reducing the size and scope of government at all, just doesn't pass the laugh test.
Welcome to reality, Jeff:
>> “As you the rest of your wish list, can you point me some examples of liberal Republicans working to get spending, and entitlements, and the size and scope of government under any kind of control?” <<
.
Can you point us to how voting for a candidate that cannot possibly get elected will bring that about?
.
Ev, you advocate ‘reality’ for Jeff, but not for yourself?
.
I cannot help but think about the Iowa class of battleships,of the four all should be kept in a ready to go to war footing, all should have ammunition especially the 16 inch shells.
Maybe its my overtime imagination but sometimes simple stuff works better than high tech. Sort of like paper, rock and scissor.
.
Agree!
.
The following plan is based on a major US economic turnaround based on sound Free Market principles geared to US interests, energy independendece, a balanced budget, stabilization of Social Security & Medicare & eliminating unessary and wasteful entitlements & entire federal agencies. It is also based, under a conservative leadership in Washington, on adopting lower corporate and individual income taxes so the revenue to the treasury expands and increases significantly which will fuel the buildup necessary to remain technologically superior by two generations to any potential enemy on earth, and to be in a position to contain and defeat any outbreaks of agression on a minimum of two major theaters, and one minor theater simultaneously. Follow the links below to each specific area of this far reaching proposal.

Thanks for your BUMP AA. Always appreciate youe BUMPs for the threads.
Jeff, good work, but a couple quibbles -
Run spellcheck and edit. In one place you use the word “enigma” when I’m pretty sure you meant “anathema.”
Second, the Army needs to look in a whole new direction. The Infantry always bears the brunt of the casualties but little is done to enhance the infantry’s capability or survivability. It’s time to look into powered armor for the infantry.
