Jim can speak for himself; he doesn't need you to speak for him
I can respect his position; I cannot respect yours -- nor should any other thinking conservative.
Those like you who want Obama to win in 2012 promote surrender as strategy.
I can't ever recall Jim endorsing the idea of surrender as strategy.
Your "let Obama be elected" strategy is merely self-righteous surrender.
Since no one else was pinging Jim except you, Sola Veritas, and he told you to stop pinging him, I'd listen to him, or be prepared to suffer the consequences for not listening to him.
“Since no one else was pinging Jim except you, Sola Veritas, and he told you to stop pinging him, I’d listen to him, or be prepared to suffer the consequences for not listening to him.”
I kept pinging him because you kept making unfounded threats like saying “Jim Robinson is going to kick you off.” I have written him directly and knew his stance. You didn’t believe me. I proved you wrong. Now you want to quibble about that. I agree he was irked. However, his being irked wasn’t just about me pinging him. He has clearly stated his position about not supporting Romney repeatedly. He was also irked because he has to keep repeating it. You feigned ignorance on this. I proved you publically WRONG. Jim Robinson will NOT vote for Obama or Romney. He considers both of them bad...as do I. You are such a bully and coward on the forum to keep threatening even now. I don’t run from bullies.
Now grow up and stop threatening anti-OBA forces on this forum with zotting. You can spread your opinions, I can spread mine. That is called “Freedom of Speech.” I’m sorry that you cannot understand abstract concepts. Jim Robinson has decided to leave the forum open. Originally, he was going to take the stand that the forum would be a Romney free one. He changed that because the ABOs like you were so numerous. However, you are going beyond merely an ABO position to one where you are saying Romney is going to be OK. IF anyone is in danger of zotting, it is you.
Stop telling untruths and stop trying to provoke more principled person than yourself. You have been dishonest, arrogant, rude, judemental, and a pain in the backside. I grow weary of anyone that uses the phrase “self righteous” against any Evangelical Christian of principle. Especially when you know nada about that person. That is a catch phrase of liberals.
I have honestly explained my position to all. There is nothing devious in it. It is not something I do lightly. Mr. Obama has done some atrocious things as POTUS and I do want him out of office. However, although a superficial examination of Romney may make him appear “better.” When I “reason” it out, I realize he would be as bad or worse in the long term. My conscience will not allow me to vote for someone with his political record and real hard core mormon leanings. I know he is ultimately no better than Obama.
Another poster on this thread seems to have characterized you correctly. You are a trouble maker that attempts to provoke when you cannot “win” an argument.
Buddy, I’m not going to drink the Romney Cyanide Koolaid you ABOs are pushing, and I’m going to try and warn others not to drink it either. I have voted in every general presidential election since 1976 and ALWAYS for the Republican. Some I liked, (President Reagan), others less so, and some I was neutral on. However, I despise Romney totally. He is an insidious evil that disgusts me.
My disgust for Romney and the GOPe that has forced him on us is greater than my fear of Obama. So, I will vote for neighter man. If I cannot find an appropriate third party (I will NEVER vote Libertarian), I will leave that portion of the ballot blank and vote to put conservatives in the House and Senate. Fortunately, where I currently reside in Missouri this is possible. We already have a strong conservative Republican House member I will help actively to reelect, and we have a liberal Democrat Senator I will actively work to replace with a conservative Republican.
By the way. My native state, and the place I consider home is Oklahoma. That is probably the most conservative state in the union right now. How does Conn. stack up???
Let me be clear about something else. I am heartsick that I am forced into this position of “not voting” by the GOPe foisting Romney on Republicans.
I also dread four more years of Obama, but the disgust I feel over Romney being POTUS outweighs any fear of Obama. I believe we WILL do very well in getting conservatives elected to both House and Senate in this cycle and more so in 2014. That is my “positive” side.
Anyway, I can understand your fear. I just don’t think Romney is the answer.
