left to deliver the placenta in the waiting room?.....

in my mothers time, she could stay in the hospital for a week after birth....now, we women have bent down so far we're expected to not only deliver the baby and be gone in 24 hrs or so, and now they made this lady deliver the placenta in the waiting room....

you ladies out there remember that the more babies you have, sometimes the more pain with afterbirth....let alone the risk of bleeding out....

insanity....

Pfff, don’t you see how lucky you are that you don’t have to drop the baby while standing up, then get back to harvesting crops? Count your blessings! /sarc

My mother delivered my oldest brother in an English hospital where she and he stayed for two weeks. Personally, I’m glad to get out in a day or two. I can’t stand being in a hospital.

If everything has gone well with the delivery, it is actually better to send healthy moms and babies home from a hospital as fast as possible to avoid contact with more serious illnesses. While it seems as though healthcare institutions are being heartless in doing this, people recover better in their home, comfortable, environment.
