You've got that right. The whole purpose of the article was to find Zimmerman at fault, even in light of the new medical evidence.

They could just as easily have said: The shooting could have been avoided had the governor ordered everyone to stay in their homes for the entire day. Presto...now it's the governor's fault too.

I’ll up the ante. Courts allow all sorts of fringe “expert” testimony, right? Well, how about a failry well-established discipline like chaos theory? According to the butterfly effect, insects flapping their wings on the other side of the globe can affect weather patterns in distant lands at distant times. If it hadn’t been “f-ing cold” and raining that night maybe Martin wouldn’t have been wearing his hoodie, Zimmerman wouldn’t have profiled him for being black and wearing a hoodie, and there would’ve been no fight and no killing.

Bam! You’ve been scienced, coppers.
