True. I’d probably lean toward doing some nice work on the barrel (good, and legal, of course, length for accuracy, crowning, etc.), bolt, trigger, ergonomic furniture, handloads and the like, and see if it could be made more accurate. If the accurizing attempt failed, next Mosin. Repeat process. ;-)
But then I’m an older has-been, who derived pleasure only from tinkering and the like—not so much into zombie movies or end-of-the-world reveries. Army National Guard kinda took all desires for adventure and excitement out of me (still catching up on peace, quiet and sleep in the middle of nowhere).
