It’s unfortunate The Blaze had to sensationalize one paragraph from the agreement in order to push their story while neglecting to mention paragraph number 4, which is most likely the reason these people failed to sign the agreement........Being a wine drinker in restaurants myself, I can’t blame them.

Good riddance!
Don't let the door hit ya... etc.

Hard to believe that the 3% pervert societal tail insists on wagging the dog, which is the 97% normal U.S. population.

Think you can't be replaced?
Good luck with that!

From last year....

Christian university asks staff to sign form stating they're not gay

By Daily Mail Reporter

A Christian university is asking its 200 employees to sign a 'Personal Lifestyle Statement' stating they are not gay.

Anyone at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia, who does not sign the statement faces being fired.

Don Dowless, president of the university, said the statement also requires staffers to reject premarital sex and adultery.

He said: 'I think that anybody who adheres to a lifestyle that is outside of what the biblical mandate is and of what the board has passed, including the president, would not be allowed to continue here.

'Anything outside that is not biblical, we do not accept.

'We have a right to hire only Christians.'

Now there are fears among staff that disgruntled co-workers could accuse others of being gay just out of spite.

One student, who did not want to be named, said the university is judging others, which is not what the Bible teaches.

Strict: University president Don Dowless says staff could face termination if they do not sign the new statement

Students do not have to sign the statement,  ajc.com reports.

New employees will have to sign it and existing employees will have to sign when their contracts are up for renewal.

The statement says: 'Failure to adhere to this statement may result in disciplinary action against me, up to and including immediate termination.'

The Personal Lifestyle Statement was one of several measures approved by the Board of Trustees on October 21 and presented to the campus on October 26.

The others include a 'Policy for Christian Education,' 'Biblical Principles on the Integration of Faith and Learning' and a 'Statement of Faith.'

By signing the Personal Lifestyle Statement, employees agree to reject 'all sexual activity not in agreement with the Bible, including, but not limited to premarital sex, adultery and homosexuality.'

Staffers must also agree not to drink alcohol when students are present or to promote the use of alcohol.

They must not touch illegal drinks and must be loyal to the mission of Shorter as a Christ-centered school affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Mr Dowless said the practice of making employee sign a lifestyle statement is done at other Christian universities as well. Because Shorter doesn’t receive federal funding, the policy is legal.

It is good to see the Southern Baptists maintain their standards.

For decades we have watched as the Presbyterians, Methodists, Episcopals, and Lutherans watered down their standards to a point that anything goes. The result for these denominations has been major membership losses. These churches are 1/2 of what they were 50 years ago.

Meanwhile, the Southern Baptists have doubled in size over the past 50 years.

I support what this college has done!!!!!

Michael Wilson, a tenured librarian who has worked at the school for 14 years, had originally planned to stay until retirement. Now, in light of the statement’s enforcement, he has handed in his resignation. Wilson, who is gay, naturally refused to sign the document, calling his choice “a matter of conscience.”
They need to send all the library PC's to the local LE to check for child porn or the next libriarian might be in for a surprise.

I read recently that employers have been asking employees for access to their Facebook page. Personally I won’t have a Facebook page because I do not put my life out there for all to see. Had a boss asked me for my Facebook page And had I had one, I would have told said boss to stick it or if I really needed the money I would have LIED and said I did not have one, right after I eliminated my name and other ID on it.

It is no one’s business what I do in my off time. Individual freedom being the heart of the US Constitution

Being a pragmatist and having to feed my family I might lie to keep a job
long enough to find another job. I feel a sense or responsibility to my employer to do a good job at the task I was hired for. After that all bets are off

They are so brave that they waited eight months (end of the school year) to actually resign.

Admittedly I didn’t read the article, but while on its face this action seems pretty cool, if you are a solid Christian who simply resents being bullied on the job about something you do not do in the first place there’s a problem.

Why doesn’t the college have a simple morals clause that new hires have to sign off on to be hired, one that addresses the college’s behavior Christian requirements?

This in your face signature stuff, after the fact, is quite an invasion of privacy good people resent.

Now they can hire faculty that actually uphold their values.

Maybe the Catholics will like this idea.

That “Personal Lifestyle Statement” is actually pretty permissive. It deals with sexual behaviors proscribed by the Bible, it deals with illegal drugs, and it permits the use of alcohol. It omits any pledge to abstain from marital birth control and thus allows marital couples to attempt to remove God from the procreation equation.
