As it happens, I worked for a Foreign Student Association while in school.
I don’t remember any particular Kenyan students, but the Nigerian students were either the kindest people to be around or if they were great actors.
I do know that several Nigerian students were busted for holding down more than one job.
Nigeria would fund them to get to the United States and then all funding would stop. One student had 4 jobs. I can’t remember how his studies went.
So, the Nigerians would come into FSA for help financially. Nigeria basically left them high and dry.
They seemed to have a good sense of humor in spite of working extra jobs and getting busted so many times.
It sounds a bit like BHO Sr. who had financial problems from Kenya.
Twice I have read his nationality was “Brit” - rest of time its “Kenya” unless I missed a page.
They thought he was “slippery”. Like father, like son, if pres. is his son.
