There is only one way a publishing company would know detailed biographical information on a (then) unknown and obscure author, and that would be by simply asking them. It appears the Bamster has been busted.

SpaceBar - you NAILED IT!

I’ve published six books in the last 14 years and on every single one of them I was required to write the “about the author” section of the book and the press release and marketing material for both publishing companies that have published my work.

Every.
Single.
Time.

Obama wrote that summary himself. It’s how the business works.

Just to maintain their credibility (yeah, I know that's a stretch) wouldn't they check, double check, and triple check someone’s background before publishing anything on them
