State Senator Deb Fischer holds an 18-point lead over Democrat Bob Kerrey in the first Rasmussen Reports survey of the Nebraska U.S. Senate race since her upset win in last weeks state Republican primary.
A new telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nebraska shows Fischer with 56% support to 38% for Kerrey who is trying to reclaim the Senate seat he retired from in 2001. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
This Nebraska survey of 500 Likely Voters was conducted May 16, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Fieldwork for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Isn’t he the one that had to quit over sexually harrassing his female staffers or something?
then how can you tell who the RINOs are - or the Blue Dogs?? /s
Jeez, Kerry... that is a STUPID IDEA...and you had many!!!
Kerrey is a fossil. Maybe they can send Lautenberg over there to run.
Dem lite beating Dem hardcore.... well in socialist la-la land of MA, this is probably the best we could hope for!
Caught that on the news, too, and couldn’t believe he laid it right out there. Too bad there wasn’t at least one sane person standing among the idiots, hanging on his every word, that could have challenged him. Voting for Deb was almost as good as voting to get rid of the mayor. Oh, just in case you haven’t heard, he’s a war hero, MOH winner. I expect to hear that the advisors have marched him down Dodge wearing shorts and a wooden leg, just in case we haven’t heard ( say it again) that he is a war hero with a MOH. I respect the medal winners and hate this group selling the medal for a few bucks and votes. I bring this up because my liberal friends are very taken with his wartime experience.
Do you mean Fauxahontas?? I would love to see Brian Hill win the US Senate. Linda McMahon is also good, but Brian Hill or Peter Lumja are both conservative. (Also Brian is an Afro-American and CT elected a Republican Afro-American before - Gary Franks.) Herman Cain endorsed Brian Hill.
Wednesday morning I checked the race counts in our state (NE). We had five official Pubbie candidates running for the US Senate. Totaled up all the votes for the five Republican candidates were well over twice as many votes for both of the Dem candidates. Ms. Fischer should beat Kerrey by a landslide.
In his sister’s basement. Really.
My hope is that when Brown wins a full 6 years he will move further to the right. He is more liberal than I like, but Taxachusettes is a fetid and festering toilet of liberals and Democrats. Fauxcohantas would be nothing more than an Obama rubber stamp.
I like it.
Its only Sharron Angle if the GOP decides to run against her
Very good news indeed. I look forward to Deb Fischer taking the oath of office as part of the Republican majority. Hopefully she’ll be joined by fellow TEA Partiers Richard Mourdock, Ted Cruz, and Dan Liljenquist.
“My hope is that when Brown wins a full 6 years he will move further to the right”
Me too, we will know soon enough based on his voting pattern if he wins.. With a full term he will be fully vested for retirement, doesn’t seem the type to want to do this for 30 years? Then again power corrupts.
I know the election is six months away, but seeing the lead and knowing the State, this almost seems insurmountable short of Fischer getting caught with his pants down.
Oops, her Pants down, hehehehe
That's because he looks like Skeletor...
Good luck getting it out from underneath Bobo's feet, Bob.
Now THIS is something I can get excited about! I love a good thrashing.
Please don't label us, were socialist and commies, but don't tell anyone.
