No one knows what it takes, no one knows what it took this time. It may be temporary, as Laz said, but sometimes temporary has a way of becoming permanent. When you think and see that you’ve reached a cul de sac, no pills and no alcohol can help you, and you’d better have some inborn sliver of hope in your genes to keep going.

That's outside my realm of experience.

I may believe is the falsehood if I wish, but my experience shows me that nothing is permanent. Perhaps only my death is, but I haven't experienced that yet.

Even someone else dying, while their death is permanent, the role they have in my life can be taken by another, so long as I remain open-minded and willing.
