Welcome to America. Its a free country. The military cannot just crawl around on private property anytme they feel like it. It has nothing to do with being disrespectful. We have private property rights here. You have the right to the quiet enjoyment of your property. Nobody can come on your property without your permission or a warrant signed by a judge. That includes the US Army. I urge you to read the US Constitution. Its not a very long document and will answer most of your questions.

Salve. An article in Constitution has been written to not repeat situation of which was before revulatianry war against Britain of their soldiers moving and without permission entering houses of colonials residence. The writers and future presidents as well participants wanted to make sure that their citizens are in control of their property and a defense forces are to respect that, unless in case of war or serious national security (problem here is it has been abuse) I am very well aware of your concerns and I agree with you. You might also know this - which makes your concern very serious. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2884752/posts?page=60#60 Merci [Romanian native > ESL]
