I do not want anyone but obvious trolls and disruptors to be zotted. When an organized group from the same anti-FR website attempt to change the basic principles of the site, that is disruptor stuff.
Like I said, probably 85% of FReepers will vote for Romney. Most of them understand that Romney is a terrible candidate and is not worthy of an endorsement from this site. This site is not going to be Romney campaign site, even though you can still vote for the guy if you want.
I am not sure why Mormons think their faith should be immune from criticism any more than others. There have been bunches of pro-Catholic articles that denigrate protestantism, but I haven’t whined and cried to a moderator about them.
The pro-drug, pro-open border freepers know how to express their opinion without getting zotted. They know this site will never conform to their opinion, they will never convince a majority or a plurality. As long as they aren’t trying to “take over” as Lazamataz might say, they are in no danger.
I think the whole country is in some kind of funk, same with this website. People are at each others throats at the slightest provocations. We don’t think the country/government is on our side or even for our side. They must have felt similar things in the Great Depression because Ayn Rand, who I disagree with on a lot, described the same kind of thing in ATLAS SHRUGGED.
I think we all need to chill out and take deep breaths. So what if some people here won’t vote for your guy. So what if some people don’t think your religion (Catholic/protestant/mormon) is real Christianity?
Live with it. That is what we usually did in the ‘good old days’. What is wrong with disagreeing?
Tempers have become short. Some just cannot handle it and tell themselves “Oh, who is John Galt?”.
Just a thought.
