Former Fifth District Congressman Virgil Goode blasted presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney as the father of homosexual marriages in a statement released to the news media on the eve of Romneys visit to Liberty University this weekend.
Goode, now running for president on the Constitution Party ticket, referred to Romneys move as Massachusetts governor to issue same-sex marriage licenses in the wake of a state-court ruling.
Gov. Romney did not stand fast in favor of traditional marriage, said Goode, who lost his Fifth District seat in 2008 to Democrat Tom Perriello.
Goode said he has been a consistent supporter of defining marriage as being between one man and one woman.
At this point in our countrys history, we need a president who will stand firmly behind traditional marriage and the Federal Marriage Amendment. I am suspicious that Gov. Romney, if elected president, could waffle again, Goode said.
The stakes, to Goode: If homosexual marriages become normal across the country, the impact on states like Virginia, which prohibit gay marriage, will be huge. State taxpayers will have to pay for the expanded health insurance costs and State retirement costs. At the federal level, the impact on the Social Security Trust Fund and the Department of Defense will be significant when homosexual partners are granted the same monetary benefits that heterosexual married couples have under current Social Security law and provisions covering military spouses, he said.
Since the major media are not carrying Goode as part of their age-old strategy to quell dissenting voices from the 2 major party disasters, articles from local sources must be found.
That, of course, means there will be a lag in presenting breaking news.
For that reason, some leniency in the understanding of “breaking news” should apply, I would hope.
Sad but true.

I’d say that’s taking it a bit far. I guess then that Gore really is the father of the Internet too.
Good article. Unfortunately some folks seem to be willing to take Romney at face value and ignore his record. Depending on what Ron Paul accomplishes in Tampa, I may end up voting for Goode. I am certainly not voting for Romney or Obama. I am glad that Goode is getting at least a little bit of press coverage.
In before “a vote for Goode is a vote for Obama”
While we are doing ankle biters, lets be sure to include all the minor, communist, green, vegan, plankton eaters as well. They deserve to be heard spewing hatred as well.
If these people had a real following, it would be a different matter.
I think he’s right. Add homosexuals pretending marriage to the cost of social security, health care, military health, and retirement in general, and you have enormously upped the cost JUST BECAUSE of someone’s preferred method of orgasming.
The reason behind heterosexual government incentives is the potential procreativity and the known fact that moms and dads are the best source of socialization for children.
The state has an interest in encouraging the best means of providing for children, but it hasn’t a bit of interest in how someone gets their jollies.
Yes, certainly if we waste our votes on Nut Goodie we’ll be far better off as “The First Gay President” is unleashed in his second term.
Goode is the only real conservative in the race. He’s balanced, experienced, and right on the issues.
He is not a tree hugger, a socialist, or anything like that.
He is what we were HOPING the republican candidate would be but isn’t.
Reality sucks..
Goode is the only conservative in the race.
Are you going to tell us all that you think Romney is a conservative?
The bitter irony is that the one way the msm could guarantee the reelection of their messiah would be to promote Goode’s candidacy. But their natural response to a man like Goode is to roundly ignore him. It will be interesting to see if they ever figure it out.
Voting for Goode as well at top of ticket.
Florida has a senatorial race and I think I will be stuck with Connie Mack who tends RINO but it would be lovely to get Nelson out of this Senate seat.
I have come to same conclusion as your tag line...I can no longer vote the lesser of evils because it is still evil and nothing changes from the status quo.

Time for algore to run as the Green Goddess Party candidate to get a mega bribe from °The Gay President.....

We’ve been taken down this lesser-of-two-evils path for so long by the repubs that even conservatives don’t hear themselves arguing in favor of gay adoption as they support romney.
How do you compare Gore to something that predates him, to the Governor of Massachusetts and the resulting creation of homosexual “marriage” because of his administration?
I’m sure most of the “conservatives” here on FR will still find a way to rationalise this.
