Well, do you remember Brokeback Mountain?

The liberals at the time praised that movie as breaking new ground, making a statement, and all of that.

It was even nominated for the best picture Academy Award.

But, there have been no other major movies made featuring homosexual romance. Why not?

Brokeback didn’t do too well at the box office. Could it be that, even if people are more tolerant/accepting/resigned to homosexuality nowadays, that they still don’t want it in their face, when they see a movie or watch TV????

Well, gay characters are common on TV nowadays. The gay friend on a sitcom has become a cliche. But just wait until they try to move into gay romantic issues. That’s where they may find blowback.
