How TV Brought Gay People Into Our Homes

In one of the most talked-about moments from the hit TV show Glee, Blaine declared his love for Kurt and then — they kissed.

Glee is just one of many popular shows on television right now that feature gay characters. Those characters aren't just entertaining us, they're changing Americans' attitudes toward homosexuality.

In five separate studies, professor Edward Schiappa and his colleagues at the University of Minnesota have found that the presence of gay characters on television programs decreases prejudices among viewers.

"These attitude changes are not huge," he says. "They don't change bigots into saints. But they can snowball."

Schiappa tells weekends on All Things Considered host Guy Raz that indeed, as Vice President Joe Biden said last Sunday, the hit TV show Will and Grace really did help America get to know gay people.

Jonathan Harris on “Lost In Space"

In defense of Harris, I always thought of Dr Smith as more of a villain and coward when I was younger, he was so good at that I hated him. I was surprised when I found out that most of the “Lost In Space" cast liked him. He was married to Gertrude Bregman from 1938 until his death in 2002, 64 years.

. . .but. "Oh, the pain, the pain!" He was a democrat.

He was so good at it that he actually got hissed at on the street, which for an actor has to be (1) a very high compliment, and (2) really creepy. He said he hissed right back.

The problem with TV shows with gay characters such as Will & Grace, Glee and Modern Family is that they will never produce ratings that will in turn produce a profit for the producers and networks.

And when the networks discover there is no money in shows with gay characters, they will stop producing these shows.

it is all ad driven.

Just look at JCPenny. SOMEBODY approved an ad with homosexuals for mother’s day and ellen degeneras as a spokesman.

They THOUGHT a failed ad would be neutral not costly.

CBS BTW is going to have a show called “the new normal” where a child is being raised by homosexuals. per-variety.

I would say that makes Obama “Doofinschmirtz Evil, Inc.” but Doofinschmirtz is a bumbling harmless Doof. Obama is just arrogant evil incarnate.

Well, of course it is all ad driven, and we all know that the secular gays run all the ad agencies and that the gays run Hollywood, Wall Street, the banks and corporate America.

But, why would the secular gays that run the ad agencies, Hollywood, Wall Street, the banks and corporate America want to force the Homosexual Agenda on American Christians without making a huge profit?

the seriously believe there are magic words that will make everything just normal.

like magic words can turn peole ok with paying more taxes by calling them “contributions” or “fair share”.

or they simply don’t know any other way. Why doen’t their NYC focus group pick up on what flyover country will spend money on? Why will american not buy products associated with homosexuals?

ie once the revamped thunderbird, miata, mountaneer was assiciated with homosexuals, sales plunged. they never got to the why.

Americans don’t hate homos and most never have hated homos. They just don’t care for what they do sexually with their bodies and minds. When they start introducing homo sex scenes, that will totally gross out the public.

The many years of working the emergency room in the bay area of Northern California taught me all I needed to know about the homosexual lifestyle.

I've had friends that worked in ERs, and they tell me that ER employees keep lists of items found in places they shouldn't be. One included a softball (ouch).
