Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, in a commencement address at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Sunday, delivered a spirited defense of the right of gays and lesbians to marry, just days after North Carolina passed an amendment that banned the practice.
Each and every generation has removed some barrier to full participation in the American dream, the mayor said. I would argue last weeks referendum banning same-sex marriage shows just how much more work needs to be done to ensure freedom and equality for all people.

Eff you, Bloomie...Get the hell outta my state and take your homos
wid ya.
Why would any rational, thinking person invite Michael Bloomberg to address a university commencement? Oops, university faculty and staff are not necessarily rational or thinking people.
Bloomberg, changes his position so much that he shows his Romney envy.
It was Chapel Hill, too. Bloomie would fit right in there.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had quite enough of “Gay Week.” It think it’s been more like “Gay Decade,” actually.
When did we start worshipping gay people, anyway?
Bloomberg refuses to get married to his live-in girlfriend yet pushes for gay “marriage.” He is the morally corrupt symbol of our decadent elite culture.
<<<< When did we start worshiping gay people anyway? <<<<<
The mainstream media decides that. Now sit down and shut up!
What if you were a parent who had sacrificed to put your kid through UNC-Chapel Hill and then you had to listen to this crap on his graduation day? I’d be tempted to sue.
I never knew that being a married faggot was part of the American Dream
I think Bloomie had a nightmare.
As a resident of Raleigh (near The Peoples’ Republic of Chapel Hill), I second your motion.
There’s a guy with real moral standing for sure. That’s about all he does is make holier than thou moral pronouncements.
Apparently today commencement speeches are merely a convenient place for leftists to spout the latest party line on the issue of the day. Bloomberg can kiss my *ss.
It’s wake-up time.....
It’s NOT Gay week...
It’s HOMOSEXUAL week!
Fags go back to your closet, we don’t want to see you.
Everytime I hear some politician talking about how wonderful gay marraige is and how happy and in love these people are, it not only gags me, but I think the defenders must be gay too. No normal man would talk so gushingly about gay marraige if he weren’t gay himself.
Well, I certaily don’t want to think about how men “consummate” a marriage. That’s a visual I can do without!!
Well, I certainly don’t want to think about how men “consummate” a marriage. That’s a visual I can do without!!
