Bad consequences from eating dried beans? Guess I’ll have to go canned.

We are, truly, in a serious drought, the water we can store must be saved for drinking.

What about rice? Same consequence?

Hungry folks do a lot of things, you know.

Rice doesn't have the tri-sacherides that beans have, so the gut wrench will be less. But water is required. If you don't have water, you die. Rule of 3s. 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water, 3 weeks without food and you die.

Unless you think you can supply yourself with a lot of water besides drinking water canned things would be best. We eat a lot of dried beans here but I still have plenty of canned beans.

A can of corn could supply almost 300 calories and a good bit of liquid for hydration and all you have to do is open a can.
