Yeah, I have all of that. I son’t know what to do with this shortwave radio someone gave us. I think it has a crank in case of power outage.

Just got back from being out and am catching up on the thread. I might find an answer ahead.
Google BBC World Service Short Wave Schedule.
They will be transmitting long after the UK goes Sharia and ice covers the globe. Dial into those frequencies at those times and listen to what passes for news.
Or learn morse code and hang out in the 80 and 40 meter bands.
Do not listen to the local 80 meter bands late at night if your children are awake.
Some ham radio operators are as grumpy as freepers, and it could emotionally scar the children. ;)
