I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Well, you have just read exactly what my arguements back to those who use such tactics.

They do not hold water and are false on their face.

A woman can do what she wants with her own body as long as she is not hurting someone else. In this case the someone else is the baby inside her who is a seperate and distinct individual who is growing within her...and doing so as a result of her own actions. Killing the child, the fetus is just that...killing it (him or her), and like murder, it is a horrid crime and should be illegal.

Most states have laws where if an assailant kills a pregnant women and the baby within her dies too, then it is double murder and the murder can be and often is charged with both.

Yet in those states if that same women hires a doctor to kill that same babay somehow it is okay, and legal? The ludicrous and conflicting nature of such laws is obvious.

Same thing on marriage. No one is stopping gays from having their "unions" and even contractually sealing their commitment legally...but it is not, nor ever has been "marriage," and it is they who are trying to force their values (or lack of them) on the rest of us by changing the definition of an institution that has stood for thousands of years.

Anyhow...sorry if I took you wrong. God's speed.

Your argument is completely logical and makes sense - but for some reason many cannot hear it. I so often hear the “fetus is not a person argument” and wonder if such people have ever been to an ultrasound. We lost our baby at 7 weeks, and there was no doubt in our minds that it was a living thriving human being to that point.
