Here in my neck of the woods, no one had heard of any of Cruz or the other opponets. Most thought Dewhurst was running unopposed.

I think these Dewhurst numbers are inflated, but I still am not confident that Cruz can make up near that much ground this close to the election.

I don’t think he can either, because most Texas republicans know Dewhurst is at least as conservative as Cruz, and the Cruz attack technique is turning voters off instead of winning them.

I saw a few Cruz yard signs in Williamson County yesterday, so maybe he is doing some work in the Republican parts of the Austin Metro Area. I sure hope so.
