My first car was a 1977 Pinto. White, with red interior, four on the floor. It kicked and we installed an 8-track player with four speakers.
There was a “Mustang club” that would go to a local park and wax their cars for all to see.
But their was also a Pinto club. Guess who had the louder music?
That’s great! I also had a ‘77 Pinto, but mine was such a shade of green that one of my coworkers called it the Lima Bean. I bought it for $200. It was actually a decent running car—only had 56,000 miles on it when I got it. I was willing to deal with the ego hit since I had no money back then.
