The EPA's proposed rule, they say, sets the bar too high and may force the closure of 20 to 25 percent of coal-fired plants across the United States.

All power plants must occasionally shut down for maintenance.

I was just thinking, if they shut down 25% of them all, across all generation companies, at the same time.

Just so the "Friends of the Earth" and EPA will have a "quiet time" to think this through...

August would be a good time...24 hours of rolling blackouts and dog day heat and folks tend to get a mite agitated as well...
