The man suspected of kidnapping four women in a Tennessee family and killing a mother and daughter was caught Thursday evening, police say.
Adam Mayes, 35, on Americas Most Wanted Fugitive List, was caught in Mississippi, Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards confirmed.
Police say the two daughters that Mayes allegedly abducted, Alexandria Bain, 12, and Kyliyah Bain, 8, were both found alive and safe.
Mayes and his wife, Teresa, are charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Jo Ann Bain, 31, and her daughter, Adrienne, 14. Their bodies were found buried outside the Mayes' home a week after they were reported missing by Jo Ann Bain's husband, Gary.

Praise God and law enforcement.Amen to that, onyx.
They were searching for him in Mississippi and it looks like they caught up with him. The coward that he is he shot himself in the head.
Prayers up for the girls.

Thank God they found the girls, too bad they didn’t just shoot the garbage, and put him in a ditch.

Apparently Mayes believed the two girls were his daughters so hopefully he didnt molest them. It is very unfortunate, but this is by no means always an effective defense.

They were searching for the monster here in Mississippi.Yep - WLOX on the coast talked about it this morning. My sould cries with all the parents, and other predators killing children and otherwise doing horrible things. Almost makles me think the Libs are almost right - humans don't deserve to exist. Then, I remember God's plan for us and feel hope.

The game wardens confronted Mayes. A good client of mine was there at the end. Another client is very close to the family. The girls have a horrible memory for which to get through now. The whole sordid affair centered around the twisted evil mind of one man. Evil does exist.

The version I read on ABC US tab said a church minister and another man went into a remote area accessible only by ATV, found them, held the man at gunpoint, called authorities and the little girl is safe. Nothing mentioned that the kidnapper is dead.

Re my former post. I have the wrong kidnapping but Carlie, age 9, is safe. Maybe our prayers helped as one who rescued her was a minister. Maybe God led those men to her. The authorities had asked for help.
Praise and thanksgiving to God!
