What a misleading headline. Sounds as if gay marriage was approved.

You don’t expect accuracy or clarity or truth from the AP, do you?

They spin everything to make the left look intelligent, sympathetic, and caring and the right to look stupid, and cold, and selfish.

When a major agenda item for the left goes down in defeat, they’ll paint it somehow as a win for their side, all to create a spirit of defeat for conservatives.

And let me add that since news is going online, AP editorial standards are in the latrine. Before, they were biased but at least their articles adhered to some sort of journalistic standards and style guides. Now they are biased and their writing is atrocious.

My thought exactly. My nomination for worst, most misleading headline of the year.

I’ve noticed that this is a recurring theme with the Associated Press. (They give a suggested headline which is almost always used.)

Watch for this sort of reverse headline on political issues.
