Blame Canada!
I blame the Obamas.
Blame Bush.....*ROFL*
Which is exactly what we are turning California's once fertile Central Valley into.
It’s dem govmint peoples...Dey made me eat dat BigMac!!!!!!!!
Gee, look at that....just like 'Big Tobacco'...time to tax 'Big Food' to the same levels...ugh
Simple solution:
More Dodgeball. More childhood. More sports, more jungle jims. More roughhousing.
Yes even more “boys will be boys”. The problem is we’ve allowed socialists to take over American childhood for political purposes.
Less ritalin. Less food police.
Less liberals.
More freedom. Let kids be kids again. Kids have survived childhood now in America for over two centuries without nanny state liberals “protecting” them.
Many times, it isn’t one’s fault, it’s the governments.
They have taken every pill that will boost metabolism off the market.
They have pushed aerobic exercise over strength training (Strength training boost metabolism)
They have pushed High Carb, low fat all over the place.
They pushed the dangerous, “Calorie in/Calorie out” theory that has caused eating disorders in young people and destroyed many a dream of losing weight long term.
They have brought the charts for “healthy weight” down to ridiculous unhealthy goals.
AND ignored that there IS an obesity gene.
They have pushed all this unfounded crap, and fixed it all with surgeries when all these people need to know is that you can lose weight (I starved off 85 pounds in 1989) but if you don’t build muscle, you will gain all that back and more. They push a vicious cycle.
Translation: "We will use this manufacture obesity "epidemic" to implement government control over every aspect of your personal and social life. It's no coincidence that this bogus "obesity" crises is being pushed in conjunction with Obamacare. The socialists are intent on using Obamacare and obesity as the the exuse to impelement complete totalitarianism. For the children.
1. Buy advertising to persuade people to eat much less and quit sugars and junk foods entirely. It will be much cheaper than more government.
2. Put premium reductions into health insurance. Incentivize success.
I weigh 360 lbs., and it’s nobody’s fault but mine. No one forced food or cola down my gullet.
Health Nazis must ... go the way of the surf Nazis.
Look for an executive order that all grocery stores and restaurants be closed immediately and the government provide all people in the nation free memberships to Seattle Sutton. SEIU will take over Seattle Sutton and ACORN will do the delivery.
And the Illinois Nazis
In 2007, I lost 53 pounds in five months.
HOW?
By cutting in half the amount of food I put on my plate.
While losing the weight, I ate 3 meals per day.
I never skipped a meal.
I drank two Cokes per day.
I’m still at the same weight.
Why?
I admitted I was practicing GLUTTONY, and I did what was needed to STOP IT.

See post 9.
There is more to it and the Nannies have screwed us up.
America’s obesity problem is directly related to our passion for “free” health care. American believe they have a “right” to not have to directly pay for their health care costs, whether through the government or through their employer’s insurance. As such, the average American thinks their health and lifestyle decisions are consequence-free. They can get fat, smoke, drink, and engage in risky activities, and there is a pill out there at no cost that will restore them to their youthful vigor.
Everyone has car insurance, but when you want an oil change, do you turn the bill into your auto insurance carrier? Of course not. But people expect to do just that with the most routine health services. Breaking that psychology among the American people is the key to not only “fighting obesity” but also to really fixing the health care system. People will take better care of themselves when the consequences hit them in the pocketbook.
I’m overweight. I like to eat, and hate to exercise. So sue me.
But keep your stinking mitts off my pork chops and my donuts.
