If the NY majority owner declares bankruptcy, the rest of the company would then be in a better position to regroup in Texas, rather than in NY, right?

I am certainly not a financial expert, but based on personal experience, all the NY equity company owners that bought up stable companies, ruined them in 6 years or less...
