IT IS NOT A LOOPHOLE, the returns are fradulent. You too could file a return claiming a whole bunch of kids who did not live with you, were out of the country, etc. The question is, would the IRS give your return proper scrutiny seeing as you did not use an ITIN? Do they have instructions to turn a blind eye if an ITIN is used? Does anyone actually verify the documents purported to support the ITIN numbers of the children? ALL IT WOULD TAKE IS SOME DECENT ENFORCEMENT OUT OF THE IRS but that might involve “profiling” tax returns.
Wow. I guess the the government will have to hire 4,000 more IRS agents, on top of the ones they did for the healthcare law, which gives free healthcare to illegals, just to KEEP TRACK of all the illegals now receiving tax refunds!!
We should just put buckets of money on the border and let them come fetch it.
