They are named “Dynamo” after the Houston Dynamos, who played in various leagues in the early 1970s.

The team’s original name was Houston 1836, which was changed after Mexicans protested the name, which was chosen by fans and related to the War of Texas Independence.

“Dynamo”, or “Dinamo”, is used by a number of sports clubs and teams across Eastern Europe.

But nice try.
