Speaking of “pricing stuff right to move inventory”, I stopped in a Gander Mountain today. They had a huge selection of some really decent firearms.
Then I started looking at price tags. The reason they have such a huge inventory is because “used” stuff is priced at “new” levels and some of the new stuff seemed to me to be priced above MSRP.
The area NRA folks were doing a really neat feature on their drawings when I went to the gun show. They set up a banner behind their table with about 25-30 photos of different weapons (rifles, shotguns, handguns, even super high end binoculars). When you buy your ticket, you write down the number corresponding the the selection you would like. They sell 50 tickets at $20 a pop. Whoever gets drawn gets the weapon he selected, and they ship it direct for you to a local FFL.
