I think it is kinda funny they even had this as a script idea.
SNL can not eat one of its own. Jimmy Kimmel ate Obama at the White House Press Dinner last week. Very funny!

Imagine how funny SNL is going to be again, after Romney is elected, when they can make fun of a President without fear of losing their jobs, or being black-listed by the Hollywood/Media Gay Mafia?
Do you think they would have pulled the skit if it lampooned GWB or some conservative?
SNL was at it's funniest in the 70s & 80s when they didn't pull their punches.
The skit sounds hilarious.

This weeks SNL was terrible, just terrible.
Since someone made them an offer they couldn't refuse? Remember those recent Ford ads featuring actual Ford buyers in a (staged) press conference about their purchase of a Ford. I read they had to pull the one in which the buyers said they had decided on Ford because it didn't take a gov't bailout . . .
They're like Larry Flynt, The Southern Poverty Law Center, and New York Times: they ONLY stomp on conservatives... Total bias.
I may be wrong but I seem to recall the original idea was to try and take him alive and not kill him and that the killing was due to circumstances as they unfolded. If anything the killing meant to a certain degree the mission was a failure.
