Not at all, If what you believe is right for you, thats wonderful that YOU have that faith as a comfort. But there are no absolutes when it comes to religion because frankly, it is not logical, so in honesty, it can not be debated, logicaly. Religion is a belief, and no two people are gonna belive exactly the same thing that is based soley on faith.
Are you sure? Is not the statement that there are no absolutes an absolute statement in and of itself?
If it's true that there are no absolutes, then your statement is included in that so your statement by default is not an absolute.
If you expect us to take your statement that there are no absolutes as true, then it is a false statement because you are expecting us to believe that your statement is an absolute.
There are absolutes because there is a God who established them. And the big one is that there is salvation in no other name under heaven but that of Jesus Christ.
If you don't like that. take it up with God. Those who simply point out what God said are not responsible for the content.
Maybe as it relates to religion per se, but there is absolute truth, and it can be found in the Bible. There have been no additions to God's word (the 66 books in the Old and New Testaments), so no extraneous books contain absolute truth.
May I make a friendly suggestion: Pick up a Bible and read it, after asking God to show you the Truth.
I personally like the Holman Christian Standard version, which if you have a Kindle is free to download at Amazon.
