A general election vote is NOT an affirmative endorsement of a candidate, it is a choice between the only candidates that have any chance of winning and taking power. It will almost ALWAYS be a decision between the proverbial "lesser of 2 evils". In primaries you will sometimes have a real opportunity to vote your conscience, in general elections that may happen very rarely - especially at the national level.
Geeze, I'd hate to see what some of you people would do if you lived in a liberal city or state where ALL the candidates suck ALL of the time. There are actually some conservatives that have to pick the least awful option EVERY election cycle.
