Of course, the fact that Warren gamed the system reveals as much about the system as it does about her. My son has a friend who can trace one set of grandparents back to Egypt. The kid was tempted to check the box for “African-American” on his college admissions forms (he decided not to.) The fact that his chances of getting into a prestigious college would have been logarithmically increased by checking that box is, to put it mildly, scandalous.
There have apparently at least a few white South Africans who have checked that box and caused much grief in their local HRs.
I remember reading many articles mocking Sarah Palin's educational background, because she changed colleges several times , trying to work her education schedule in with her family life. Looks like Elizabeth took the same path. However, as expected, Warren is lionized and her background un-analyzed while Palin’s academics get the fine tooth comb treatment.
So the question of gaming the system must be looked at and the question asked, how the heck does one get such a prestigious teaching assignment with a law background that was achieved at second level law schools? Looks like it may have to do with Warren marring a Harvard academic, or claiming a Native American background, or perhaps both.
I know someone from Egypt and his sons were not allowed to check the African-American box.
