Veterans for a Strong America is looking for a place to run its hit online video on television.
The ad praises the quiet heroism of the military personnel who killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011, and portrays President Barack Obama as a glory-hound eager to hog the credit.
With dramatic background images and a banner reading Heroes dont seek credit, the ad shows a catalog of Obamas statements describing his own responsibility for the mission: I can report I directed Leon Panetta I was briefed I met repeatedly At my direction
Were at a point where we have no choice but to run that ad on TV, Veterans for a Strong America director Joel Arends told The Daily Caller.

Wow!
I knew he was low, now lower then I ever thought!

We need look no further than Lyndon Johnson’s diary. His entry for that day is laconic: “After we were off the field with Prell (sic) and Greer leading, Greers generator went out; crew begged him to go on. For next 30 minutes we flew on one generator.”6 No mention of combat, of enemy interceptors. LBJs “heroism” was fabricated from the start.
Further evidence comes from former Staff Sergeant Albert Tyree, a gunner in Marauder 1536. He states, “I remember the mission very well, and I recall seeing a B-26 fly out of formation and turn back . . . I know it wasnt 1363 (1st Lieutenant Powells aircraft) because that had belly-landed just before we got back to Port Moresby. We didnt get attacked until the Hecking Hare had turned around.”

Reports vary on what happened to the B-26 Marauder carrying Johnson. Lyndon Johnson said it was also attacked by Japanese fighters but survived, while others, including other members of the flight crew, claim it turned back because of generator trouble before reaching the objective and before encountering enemy aircraft and never came under fire, which is supported by official flight records.
Of course the MSM of the day glossed over this insignificant bit of information.
