Voter registration down among Hispanics, blacks
The Washington Post ^ | 05/04/12 | Krissah Thompson (Jim's cousin?)

Posted on 05/04/2012 11:10:39 AM PDT by TonyInOhio

The number of black and Hispanic registered voters has fallen sharply since 2008, posing a serious challenge to the Obama campaign in an election that could turn on the participation of minority voters.

Voter rolls typically shrink in non-presidential election years, but this is the first time in nearly four decades that the number of registered Hispanics has dropped significantly.

That figure fell 5 percent across the country, to about 11 million, according to the Census Bureau. But in some politically important swing states, the decline among Hispanics, who are considered critical in the 2012 presidential contest, is much higher: just over 28 percent in New Mexico, for example, and about 10 percent in Florida.

For both Hispanics and blacks, the large decrease is attributed to the ailing economy, which forced many Americans to move in search of work or because of other financial upheaval.

The Dick Morris theorem is wrong. make it more like 2 to 1 for the challenger, not 90%.

Then its 48.3% Obama, 48.2% Romney.

Close!

Do NOT assume your vote wont count!!!

His core voters seem truly unmotivated. They were expecting him to deliver Socialist Nirvana within his first two years. And since he had Congressional supermajorities, they don’t see any excuse why he didn’t.

Leftists are like children. They expect to get what they want NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW! They didn’t, so now they are gonna hold their breath and turn blue.

Call your Congressman to file the constitutional amendment. I doubt 39 states will go along with you though? If you get rid of the Electoral College, ballot boxes will be overflowing in all of major cities across the country, and almost all of them are run by Democrats.

But they don’t do that or almost anything else needed to keep the records clean. I’m getting ready to send in the documents necessary to remove my mother from the voter roles due to her death. If I don’t remove her she’ll still be there for some Democrat to vote for her (after all they know her intentions. Don’t they?)

Yes, let's change the Electoral College or get rid of it...

Sorry, I totally disagree with that. I find that anyone who makes such a statement does not really understand the purpose of the Electoral College.

...we can concentrate on letting the system of one man one vote...

Then we are no longer a republic but a democracy, and that's what brought down the Ancient Greece civilization. Mob rule doesn't work, at least in a republic extremism is tempered (usually) through the representative government members.

Yes, let's change the Electoral College or get rid of it so that we can concentrate on letting the system of one man one vote determine our President by majority rule.

Which would allow voter fraud in the likes of Philadelphia and Chicago to infect the entire national vote. As it is, they can affect the outcome in only one state. But, if you do away with the Electoral College, they could affect the national outcome.

Moreover, the principle of the Electoral College can be analogized to the World Series. Which team should be declared World Champion: the team that wins four-out-of-seven? Or the team that scores the most runs over seven games?

Now there is a suicidal thought for anyone who values the republican form of government. What kind of troll are you anyway--'rat, leftist, or just a plain asshole?

We need to start spreading the word for an entire week, beginning October 31st, that:
Due to a projected heavy voter turn-out, it is requested that Republicans vote November 6th and Democrats vote November 7th.

Rule of thumb (historically), 80% of the undecided vote goes to the challenger.

The Electoral College tilted greatly in favor of the Republican Party after the 2010 Census. Blue States lost Electoral Votes and Red States got them.

We don’t need the ignorant human failures to vote. Minorities don’t read and all they know is what they get from TV. If conservatives would drop their CATV the mass media would change, but Americans will ride their entertainment addictions all the way to 3rd world status before they wake up.

This is mirse. I believe that Obama is a liar and a fraud.

That being said, could you please explain why you favor the Electoral College system? Thanks.

When I first read that the Hispanic turnout vote is down, my thought was “Well, they probably moved back to MEXICO”

“For both Hispanics and blacks, the large decrease is attributed to the ailing economy, which forced many Americans to move in search of work or because of other financial upheaval.”

Unless their referring to going back to Mexico, moving would not account for federal decline of 5%. Indeed its given the federal motor voter fraud act its hard to account for such a decline in any state. Unless your talking about fraudlent registration reductions.

With out the collage 2 very bad things each with their own long list of grave consequences would happen:

1: Small States would be ignored even more than they are now.

2: Every State would alter their voting rules to increase raw vote numbers for power & influence. (IE unimaginable amounts of fraud)
