A rough transcription-
CBS Interviewer - "You're not exactly a moderate."
Nugent - "I offer you this. Have you done a lot of interviews?"
CBS Interviewer - "A decent number."
Nugent - "When you find someone that does more for charity, more for dying kids... than I do, call me. And I'll suck your ****!"

He challenged the guy to find someone who does more...... I’m sure there is someone out there who has done more for charity and dieing kids than Ted. There may be some suckin’ in his future if he’s truly a man of his word.
Well, that ended any hope of elected office.

Maybe U.N. Ambassador.
Just read that he went into the hospital with kidney stones, I believe following that outburst, and that he apologized to all, reportedly.
It’s just a phrase, and not all that uncommon in the trenches, which is where Ted works.
Ted, you’ve got my vote.
Yes, I am glad he apologized.
Yes, some of us live in a little rougher world than some of the metrosexual wussies on tv. Tough talk is just how we roll.
And in Chamene Nugent's case, the fact that she can probably dress and skin a dear faster than he can might also have something to do with it (think Lorena Bobbit). ;-)

Call me weird but I liked it.
Did Uncle Ted offend your sensibilities?

Yes, that interviewer was a smug little weasel, wasn’t he?
GOOSFRABBA....GOOSFRABBA......GOOSFRABBA......That is an old Eskimo term used by mothers to calm their children....Buddy Rydell.
just maybe "The Nuge knows" that the only way a Constitutional loving/military loving/gun enthusiast extraordinaire/hunter supreme/REAL ecologist/etc person is going to get any media time is by slinging out a sound bite they can't refuse.
They took the bait and now more people are aware of who The Nuge is and what he espouses.
And immediately following the interview he was rushed to the hospital to have a kidney stone removed - so he probably was a bit uncomfortable during the interview and not amiable to the media angling for a hatchet job.
BTW, the event the military canceled on him? That was to play at the FUNERAL of a Navy Seal - per that Seal's request in his will! He has a tradition of being invited to perform at Seal's funerals. He has a long and mutual admiration relationship with the Seals and other branches of the military, had done several trips to Iraq/Afghanistan and gone out on patrol with the troops instead of staying safely in the back bases. (The military, btw, was following orders from the the WH who was furious at The Nuge for daring to "insult" him)
These media hacks couldn't keep up with The Nuge for ONE DAY. They'd mess their britches.
I’m guessing you’re not to familiar with all that he has and does do...for many people and organizations that also help people.
My wife said I should agree with that.
Before the Draft Dodger posts come out. Ted was on with Col. Hunt on the WRKO Howie Carr Show and was asked about it. Ted went to the Induction center and was granted a 1Y Deferment and never called up. The wild stories he told in various publications about being covered in feces and such were Ted screwing with them.
Go TED!!
Ah, you guys are pussywhipped. I’m the man in my house, and I have my wife’s permission to say so.
Also, I always get the last word in any argument.
She says “shut up” and I say “yes dear.”
All that to one side, I have no problems with Ted blasting that jerk. It’s way past time that Conservatives got into the faces of these media cretins and called them on their bias when it happens.
Not later — right then and there!
I’m sure she’s an awesome woman (and it would take a tough and strong one to take him on!). Having raised 3 boys, I can say with certainty that men and women are different, and thank the Lord! There is a good reason for it, and I’m thankful. I love boys and men, they are endlessly fun and fascinating. But sometimes they have to be reminded to tone it down just a little. Not the message, just how it’s presented and where.
And by the same token, I don’t buy the idea that women are just as good without men. They complete us as well. Girls need Dads. A good father makes a girl into a good woman. And a good husband makes a woman a good wife. Old fashioned idea, but I believe it.
