The NRA’s on shaky ground with me right now. They are running ads here in Utah backing Hatch for Senate. That worries me. Dan Liljenquist would be a much more consistent conservative ally for Mike Lee in the Senate.

The NRA's policy is that if there are two candidates with equal ratings, then they go with the incumbent. It's not perfect, but nothing in this world is perfect.

All I want the NRA to do is take care of the Second Amendment. When the rats had the whole Congress, no new serious gun grabbing happened. So that policy seems to work, IMHO.

Fair enough, I respect your opinion...

But why do you suppose that policy worked???

My opinion is that “WE” are the ones who should be taking care of the Second Amendment...The NRA is a group that organizes and lobbies for us to the government...We can do that ourselves to a certain degree, if we have the time...

Personally, the more I thin about it, I feel we are certainly at risk to lose the unalienable right to keep and bear arms afforded in that Amendment...

But...

There WILL be significant resistance to any confiscations or any other loss of hardware in any event...And that is why I do not have too much of a need to lose any sleep over the matter...And it is not because of any chance of failure on the part of the NRA...

If we fail to have the resolve to resist the ultimate goal of world socialism and the forces taking root here in this country, then it may be a very hard time for all who value the moral right to keep and bear arms in this country...

Once again, the ultimate gut-check question is:

“What are you prepared to do about it, and what are you prepared to sacrifice for it?”

No need to answer in a public forum like this...Because it is a personal issue...

And I would go so far as to say I would not, at anytime where we would need to start turning these firearms in (if we have to) trust any nieghbor, co-worker, and even family members close or distant for that matter with any clue as to your ownership status...

I would have on hand a few throw downs to turn in, if need be...To protect your real posessions...Just an idea...
