Last summer, my San Fernando Valley neighborhood gathered together to build a bicycle path across the street from me. We leveled a path, spread mulch, planted free trees and shrubs and people started walking their dogs and jogging. All was good.

Now they are building a huge 3 story Section 8 apartment building that is visible from my house.

They extended the Orange Line up to Chatsworth and even though it is not open yet, the traffic has gotten much worse.

Now I notice the 3 and 4 story apartment buildings going up all over the valley. The idea here, as stated by our mayor, is to make traffic so unbearable that we have to walk, ride bicycles or take government transportation.

This document is from the EPA, HUD, CalTrans, etc. It spells out the mobility plan for California’s future and Cars are not on in the plan! This plan calls for a Regional and Interregional planning of our future! Soviet style government at its best.
